Boogaloo Gigs!

We hold regular Blues & Boogie gigs in the Cellar Bar at Farnham Maltings. The Maltings is a historic building with a great atmosphere. There's plenty of parking as well as a train station close by, which helps if you like to have a drink!  The Maltings is easy to find - just click on the venue name in the column to the right to view a map.

Doors open 8.15 pm with blues sounds from DJ Chris and the band starts at 9.00 pm unless otherwise stated.  Ticket prices range from £8-£12 and there are price concessions for members, students & UB40s.  For details of membership visit the membership page.

THE PRODUCERS- £10 (Conc. £9)

Bass player Dave Saunders and singer and guitarist Harry Skinner formed The Producers in 1990. They regularly sold out venues around the country and were voted ‘Blues Band of The Year’ four times, releasing 7 acclaimed albums and playing to capacity audiences.  They split up in 2002 to pursue other musical interests, but the good news is that they’re now BACK and sounding better than ever, with some new songs and assisted by Ray Drury on keyboards and Biff Smith on sticks and percussion.  Not to be missed!

A superb line-up with Steve Simpson (of Chuck Farley fame) on lead vocals and guitar,  Papa George on guitar/vocals and the fabulous rhythm section of Award-winning drummer Sam Kelly  and fabulous bass player Pete Stroud.  Contemporary blues at its best!

Tommy Allen, Barry Pethers and Craig Bacon are reunited as Trafficker performing some of the old favourites along side some new material.  In the past, this line up has been described as 'awesome' so if you like your blues with a raw energy and some great musicianship, then Trafficker is for you!

Tonight award-winning guitarist and Maltings favourite Sonny Black delivers an evening of exquisite blues-based music with influences from world music, jazz and country, together with superb guitarist and singer Arnie Cottrell and fiddle player Colm Murphy plus the rock solid bass of Chris Belshaw.  Unmissable!

Since forming 10 years ago, the Robin Bibi Band has produced a host of riveting live performances at clubs and festivals at home and abroad.  Robin  is a seasoned professional and one of the best blues guitarists in the UK as well as a fine singer.  Blues, funk, soul and rock, reggae and jazz are all rolled together to form the band’s unique sound.

Phenomenal female-led blues-rock band featuring stunning vocals from Nikki Lamborn and Catherine 'The Been' Feeney on keyboards.    Nikki's powerful presence and strong vocals has been described as Tina Turner and Robert Plant rolled into one, while Been is the main composer behind the songs that together with Nikki's voice, make Never the Bride unique.   Unmissable!

FIRE & WATER £8 (Conc. £7)

Fire and Water offer a high-energy mix of Led Zeppelin, Free and Bad Company songs in their set, with classics like ‘Can’t Get enough’, ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Whole Lotta Love’.   Fire and Water interpret these classics songs of the genre with sympathy and feel and in their own accomplished style, while keeping true to the spirit of these British Rock anthems.  Led by Paul Cox on vocals, with Mike Summerland on guitar.

Stunning guitarist and singer/songwriter Aynsley Lister leads his excellent band through a sensational set of blues-rock classics and original material. Aynsley is one of very few artists playing rocking blues with a modern edge with excellent musicianship and some fine songwriting.  .  A superb band!   Ticket reservations recommended. 

'There's no young English blues guitarist with more vivid musical ideas than Lister... His guitar playing on tracks like 'Say Goodbye' or 'Balls of Steel' is a fire hazard!' - MOJO.

STOMPIN’ DAVE’s ELECTRIC BAND - £10 (Conc. £9)
Stompin' Dave is a formidable talent and outstanding musician as well as larger-than-live personality.  Dave plays banjo, acoustic guitar & fiddle whilst simultaneously singing and tap dancing!  He’s also a brilliant boogie piano player, a mean blues guitarist and a fine singer!  Dave’s previously under exposed talents of electric guitar and piano, band leading and song writing is highlighted in this new band.  Accompanying Dave in his band are the vastly experienced Graham V Bundy and Dave Saunders.  Stompin’ Dave got a standing ovation at the IOW blues weekend, so don’t miss this evening!

Award-winning songwriter and singer Earl Green is the premier blues vocalist in the UK.  His career as a vocalist spans 25 years, including time with Paul Lamb and Otis Grand.  With The Right Time, Earl Green performs ‘songs I love by the great blues singers I’ve always admired’.   Earl is ably supported by this fabulous six-piece band featuring sizzling guitars, sensuous sax, virtuosic harmonica and one of the finest rhythm sections around.  True quality!

The UK’s No1 good time blues band plays an infectious range of music from classic country blues and jug to rock ’n’ roll.  This is the successor band to Mungo Jerry, and includes founder member Colin Earl on rocking boogie piano and Dave Peabody on blues guitar and vocals, plus John Coglan ex Status Quo on drums.  An unmissable night!

Raunchy blues singer Connie Lush delivers a powerful mix of bare knuckle R&B, soul anthems and blues ballads together with her fabulous band.  Connie is in the British Blues Connection ‘Hall of Fame’ as best female blues vocalist and has also won the French Blues Trophies award as European Singer of the Year.   Sensational!
