We’re just days away from our biggest event of the year at Pakefield Holiday Village, Lowestoft 13 – 16 September 2013. We have not one but TWO festivals taking place at Pontin’s flagship holiday centre by the sea. Don’t be put off if you’ve had a bad experience at a different Pontin’s centre in the past – this one is really nice! The weekend costs just £149 per person for entry to both festivals and including 3 nights accommodation, dinner and breakfast. A bargain!
Blues & Boogie Festival
Dr Feelgood headline a great line-up with
Jerimiah Marques, Bad Influence,
Dr JJ’s Blues Band, The Moore Brothers,
CC Jerome’s Rhythm & Blues Revue,
The David Raphael Band,
Tommy Allen & Johnny Hewitt (replacing Mumbo Jumbo),
Stompin’ Dave and Blues Situation,
plus Giles Hedley as MC/DJ
and late night jam sessions hosted by Blues Situation.
Rock & Roll Festival
An all-rocking line-up with The Jets,
Earl Jackson Four,
Greggi G & His Crazy Gang,
CC Jerome’s Jetsetters,
Porky’s Hot Rockin’,
Danny & The Seniors,
Bernie Woods & The Forest Fires,
The Twangmasters, Lights Out,
plus DJ’s Rockin’ Roland, Midnight Shift, Dynamite Dave and Jumpin’ Jim.
Superb value at a great venue! Following a shut-down earlier this year, all chalets now have kitchenettes with microwaves, kettles, toasters, crockery, cutlery and a mini-fridge. That’s a bonus for late night snacks and keeping the beer cool!

A coup! Sadly Sherman Robertson has had to cancel his UK tour because of ill-health, which means he can no longer play at Corton Blues Weekend 8th – 11th June, but we have managed to book James Hunter as a replacement, which is a major coup!
James Hunter played for Boogaloo many years ago as ‘Howlin’ Wilf & The Veejays’, which was a great band, but it’s the current band that has risen to fame across the US as well as Europe.
Check out James Hunter’s fabulous song ‘Don’t Do Me No Favours’ on YouTube and book one of the last rooms at Corton before they get snapped up!
