Stuart Maxwell’s Blues Raiders deliver hard-edged blues rooted in tradition, with plenty of rock and funk thrown in. Expect swinging shuffles, driving grooves and music that’ll have your feet tapping.
Harmonica ace Stuart Maxwell (Mick Ralphs, Storm Warning, The Shufflepack) is joined by Matt Edwards on guitar, Derek White on bass and Si Potts on drums. Between them, they’ve worked with an impressive range of artists including Alice Armstrong, Larry Miller, Bernie Marsden and The Cinelli Brothers. Their set combines traditional blues, alongside original songs in the classic Chicago style.
The band will be joined for a few numbers by Brazilian blues guitarist Big Gilson.
This gig replaces the Harry Skinner Band, who have had to cancel for personal reasons.
Doors open 8.15 pm for an 8.45 pm start. The gig finishes c. 10.45 pm.
