Jive Aces Christmas Celebration

This was a great success last year, so we’re returning for another great night on Friday 21st December.
A special Christmas event in the Great Hall with the UK’s top Jive & Swing band. Put on your dancing shoes, or just relax and enjoy the show with The Jive Aces and their special guests at this extra special Christmas celebration.
The Jive Aces are renowned for their hot, swinging music and high-energy stage show playing songs made famous by such greats as Bobby Darin, Louis Prima and Sammy Davis Jnr as well as featuring a selection of superb originals. Although they play on the ‘Jive’ scene, the Jive Aces are also regulars at Colne Blues Festival and other Festivals, because of their influences from Louis Prima and other greats.
The Jive Aces brought the house down at thousands of festivals, theatres, and dance halls throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and beyond, also making hundreds of TV and radio appearances world-wide. This in-demand six piece have worked with Van Morrison, John Travolta and Isaac Hayes and many others as well as performing for HRH Prince Philip.

T-Rextasy at Farnham Maltings Friday 30th Nov
Boogaloo is branching out with a special night with the world’s ONLY official tribute band to T.Rex, with very respected glam rock band T.Rextasy. Voted as the UK’s number one live tribute band by a BBC1 ‘Battle of the Fantasy Bands’. The band are fronted by stunning guitarist Danielz. Danielz says : ‘

Sad News
Some very sad news. David West (son of Margaret West) has passed away following a long and brave battle with Prader-Willi Syndrome. David was a regular customer at the blues gigs at Farnham Maltings and the Boogaloo Blues Weekends and was well liked by all who met him. Margaret has requested that we share this information with David and Margaret’s many friends. Our thoughts go to Margaret during this difficult time.
Ben Waters at Farnham Maltings Thursday 8th November 2012
Ace boogie woogie player Ben Waters appears at Farnham Maltings on Thursday 8th November. Ben has played at The Maltings since his teens. Since then he has travelled the world and played venues of all sizes from intimate venues like The Maltings to the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall. Ben Waters is known for his excellent musicianship and for his on-stage charisma. In recent times Ben has played alongside Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Shakin’ Stevens, Procul Harum, Ray Davies and Jools Holland, and he’s played at Mick Jagger’s birthday party and Jools Hollands’ wedding! Boogaloo Blues Weekend in Bournemouth 7 – 10 Dec 2012
Our new Blues Weekend taking place at the The Heathlands Hotel in Bournemouth is proving very popular, thanks mainly to the super line-up with stunning guitarist and singer 
Buddy Whittington ‘the greatest Bluesbreaker of them all’.
Plus ‘Blues Band of The Year’ King King fronted by charismatic singer and guitarist Alan Nimmo, The Producers, Giles Hedley & The Aviators, Pete G & The Magnitones and the Robin Bibi Band. Plus the usual late night jam sessions and acoustic blues.
